Macula Capsules

To maintain normal vision and protect cells from oxidative stress, Macula contains a combination of vitamins, minerals and carotenoids.

One of the wonders in our body is a perfectly switched optical system, also called the eye.

Environmental objects are imaged on the retina, converted into excitations by physical stimuli of electromagnetic waves (400-750 nm) and photochemical processes. These stimuli are transmitted via the optic nerve or the optic pathways to the primary visual center in the occipital lobe of the cerebral cortex. The area on the retina with the highest density of photoreceptor cells is also called the macula lutea.

Different layers of skin, tendons, nerves and fluids play a role in ensuring sharp images and optimal contrast not only during the day but also at night. The eye is mostly exposed to environmental influences. Dry air, particularly from overheated rooms, air conditioning, dust particles and excessive sunlight all have an external impact on the eye. Smoking, high blood pressure, obesity, free radicals and diabetes have a particularly negative internal impact. A balanced diet with sufficient vitamins and minerals can support the eye in its function. Carrots, spinach, corn, peppers and pumpkin contain many carotenoids. Lutein and zeaxanthin, two special carotenoids, are particularly popular as they are good for eyesight. Due to the various environmental influences, free radicals are also found in the eye. These triggers cause oxidative stress and can therefore have a negative impact on all types of cells.
