Vitalpilz Coriolus

This is due to its attractive appearance, which makes it a sought-after decorative object in addition to its use as a medicinal mushroom. It has rosette-shaped, flat caps that can take on a variety of marbled colors, from brown to greenish and reddish to bluish hues. In Asia and English-speaking countries, the Coriolus is also known as Yun Zhi, Kawaratake, turkey tail, and bracket fungus.

Origin, cultivation and use of the Coriolus mushroom

The Coriolus mushroom is a true cosmopolitan: Due to its exceptional adaptability, it thrives in the wild worldwide on dead deciduous trees, but also on wooden fences or stacked wood. In Germany, it is most commonly found on common beech wood. The butterfly bracket fungus is a saprobiotic, meaning it decomposes dead wood and thus makes an important contribution to the health of our forests. But the Coriolus mushroom is also a valuable ally for the well-being of the human organism. As a medicinal mushroom, it has played a central role in Chinese and South American traditions for centuries.

Ingredients of the Coriolus mushroom

In Europe, the butterfly bracket fungus is only gradually gaining recognition as a medicinal mushroom. Accordingly, the full spectrum of Coriolus's constituents has not yet been scientifically researched. In addition to a high content of various minerals, vitamins, and trace elements, two important active substances have already been identified: the protein-bound polysaccharides PSK and PSP.

Coriolus versicolor: You can buy these dosage forms from Hawlik

As with all medicinal plants, the concentration of constituents in untreated mushrooms can vary considerably. Therefore, standardized processing, as ensured by Hawlik medicinal mushroom products, is recommended for the use and dosage of Coriolus versicolor or Trametes versicolor. In our shop, you can purchase Trametes versicolor in the following dosage forms:

Coriolus Powder Capsules

The "classic" product, extracted from the natural mushroom, ground from hand-picked and gently dried fruiting bodies. Each capsule contains 420 mg of pure butterfly tramete powder and no other ingredients.

Dosage: Two Coriolus powder capsules twice daily with plenty of liquid at meals.

Coriolus Extract Capsules

Highly concentrated dosage through extraction, yielding approximately 20 times the amount of active ingredients compared to the powder! With an extra dose of vitamin C from the addition of acerola, which increases the human body's ability to absorb the mushroom. The polysaccharides in our extract exhibit particularly high bioavailability for the human body due to the processing. Each capsule contains 300 mg of medicinal mushroom extract and 40 mg of acerola extract (equivalent to 7 mg of vitamin C).

Dosage: Two Coriolus extract capsules twice daily with plenty of liquid at meals.

Coriolus extract and powder capsules

Our customer favorite combines the benefits of a high-dose extract and a natural powder. Each vegetable capsule contains 250 mg of Coriolus extract, 150 mg of Coriolus powder, and 20 mg of natural vitamin C.

Dosage: Two capsules twice daily with plenty of liquid, morning and noon with meals.

Coriolus powder

Ideal for mixing into other foods or for direct consumption. Made from whole, gently dried, and ground fruit bodies. Dosage: Add 1-2 level scoops of Coriolus powder to plenty of liquid daily and drink. Alternatively, the powder can also be mixed into food. One scoop corresponds to approximately 2 g of powder.
