Frankincense extract - incense for mind and body

The plant known here as frankincense was long known in Europe as a "sacred incense." Boswellia (Boswellia serrata) is a plant native to India that is particularly popular for its resin. The boswellic acids contained in the resin are rich in bioactive substances such as phlobaphene, arabinose, xylose, uronic acids, and B-sitosterol and have been used for centuries in traditional Ayurvedic practices. It was also an important ingredient in oriental perfumes and balms and was used in religious ceremonies.

Hildegard von Bingen, a monastic physician, also greatly valued frankincense and often mentioned it, especially because of its importance in a balanced diet. Studies on the frankincense plant have long focused on boswellic acids.

Indian frankincense is extracted from the resin of the frankincense tree (Boswellia serrata). The bark of the frankincense tree is scratched, and the resulting, rubbery resin, which solidifies in the air, is then harvested. The frankincense tree is treated so gently that it does not suffer any lasting damage.

Take 1 capsule daily with plenty of liquid at meals.
