The basis of the shiitake liquid extract is the fine mushroom powder, which is further processed into shiitake extract using a traditional hot water method. This process releases the valuable polysaccharides from the mushroom's chitin structure, making them more readily available to the body.

Extracting shiitake mushrooms concentrates the desired ingredients approximately 20 times more than the powder. One teaspoon (~5 ml) is roughly equivalent to 10 extract capsules. Due to their form, liquid extracts are particularly easy to consume!
